HEATHER AKERBERG is an award-wining quilt artist living in Omaha, Nebraska. Akerberg uses color, transparency, and geometric shapes in a mix of fabrics from yarn-dyed cotton to upcycled silk. JOSEPH CARTER is a self-taught artist from Omaha, Nebraska and is now based in Chicago, Illinois. He documents images of the mundane and hopes to evoke feelings of nostalgia and connectedness in the viewer. Carter's recent work is informed by the perception of his personal experience with anxiety and navigation toward acceptance and understanding. He also challenges his dichotomous thinking patterns with paradoxical thinking, with the hope of seeing things from multiple perspectives. DAVID ALLEN BURNS and AUSTIN YOUNG / FALLEN FRUIT is an art project that began in Los Angeles in 2004 by creating maps of public fruit: the fruit trees growing on or over public property. The work of Fallen Fruit includes photographic portraits, experimental documentary videos, and site-specific installation artworks. Using fruit (and public spaces and public archives) as a material for interrogating the familiar, Fallen Fruit investigates interstitial urban spaces, bodies of knowledge, and new forms of citizenship. From protests to proposals for utopian shared spaces, Fallen Fruit's work aims to reconfigure the relationship of sharing and explore understandings of what is considered both-public and private. From their work, the artists have learned that "fruit" is symbolic and that it can be many things; it's a subject and an object at the same time it is aesthetic. Much of the work they create is linked to ideas of place and generational knowledge, and it echoes a sense of connectedness with something very primal-our capacity to share the world with others.
Fallen Fruit was originally conceived by David Burns, Matias Viegener, and Austin Young. Since 2013, Burns and Young have continued the collaborative work.
Fallen Fruit has been recently featured in 15 Los Angeles Artists to Watch, ARTnews (cover); Artforum (Critic's Pick), The New York Times ("Tasty and Subversive Too" and "Food Matters"), Conde Nast Traveler ("18 Best Shows in London"), Los Angeles Confidential (cover and feature, "How Fallen Fruit is Changing the Art World & Life in LA"). LARA FELSING is an interdisciplinary Metis artist from Northern Alberta, Canada. TIM GUTHRIE, the Joella Cohen Endowed Chair at Creighton University, is an Omaha-based multimedia visual artist and filmmaker. SARAH ROWE is a visual artist based in Omaha, Nebraska. Her work opens cross-cultural dialogues by utilizing methods of painting, printmaking, textiles, performance, and Native American ceremony in unconventional ways. Rowe projects her vision of contemporary Indigenous experience into the mix with an offbeat enchantment. SHANNON SARGENT attended Morningside College and received his BS in Art (2000) after serving six years in the United States Marine Corps as a Mountaineering Instructor. He then attended the University of South Dakota and received his MFA in Painting (2002). Sargent is the Exhibitions/Collections Coordinator at the Sioux City Art Center where he maintains the permanent collection and installs the exhibitions. Sargent is also an adjunct professor and curator at Morningside College, where he teaches sculpture and manages the galleries. Sargent produces and shows his work in the region and lives in Sioux City, Iowa.

ELSPETH SCHULZE (b. 1985, Grand Coteau, Louisiana) is a studio artist based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Schulze makes sculptural wall works that marry ornament with architecture, pairing geometric structure with organic, often plant-based forms. Her practice combines ceramic, wood and textile processes and pairs digital fabrication with traditional methods of making. Schulze holds an MFA in ceramics from the University of Colorado Boulder, a degree in fashion design from the Fashion Institute of Technology New York, and a BA in literature and visual art from Loyola University, New Orleans. MEGHAN STEVENS was born in San Francisco, California. She grew up in Omaha, Nebraska where she now currently works and resides. She received a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art, majoring in painting and printmaking at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco. She earned a Master's degree in Liberal Studies from Creighton University in Omaha, focusing on fine art topics. Her largest direct influence came from her father, Dan Boylan, a prominent abstract painter. She works primarily in painting, printmaking, and collage, but always seeks out new physical media to incorporate into her work. EVAN STOLER (b. 1993, Nebraska) graduated from Denison University in Ohio with a BA in Studio Art and Biology in 2016. LAURIE VICTOR KAY (b. 1971) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work blurs the lines between photography, painting, installation, and digital mediums to address constructed imagination, idealization, and a sense of the surreal. CHRISTINA RENFER VOGEL holds an MFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and a BFA from Temple University. CAMILLE HAWBAKER VOORHEES is a mixed media artist who was born and raised in the Midwest. DENNIS WATTIER's goal is create works of art that highlight his turning and carving skills in a creative manner, but also in some cases to tell a story. He has created his own unique style and uses special techniques to create intricately designed vessels and sculpture. CINDY WEIL is an artist, designer and founder of I80West, the Wallpaper Collective and the Immigrant Yarn Project. Her work is characterized by an interest in the materiality and history of wool and its use in the exploration of feminist themes, liminality, and transformation. Weil completed a residency at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and the Icelandic Textile Center in Blonduos, Iceland. She has an MFA from the New York School of Interior Design and a BA in history from Creighton University. Weil has partnered with the National Park Service and the International Rescue Committee in a major public installation of her work, and she has placed pieces in major collections around the country. Weil is currently working on a major commission for the new Main Branch Public Library in Omaha, Nebraska and her first solo museum show at the Museum of Nebraska Art opened in September 2025.

SHEA WILKINSON, a Nebraska native, has been sewing since childhood. She worked for several years in the medium of art quilts, but after moving abroad, she pivoted to working with felted textiles. She is currently living abroad and earning a degree in fashion and textile design.
Wilkinson has exhibited widely in national juried exhibitions, such as Craft Forms, Materials: Hard & Soft, Quilt Visions, and Fantastic Fibers.
